Nell Baldwin Bandy
Mrs. Nell Baldwin Bandy, age 81, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010 in a Richlands, Virginia hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Seaboard, Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Henry and Iva Gaynell Vandyke Baldwin.
She was a lifelong resident of the Cedar Bluff area and was a founding member of Covenant Presbyterian Church at Claypool Hill, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, June Puckett and Helen Smith Keen.
Survivors are: Her Husband of 63 years: Clarence William Bandy, Jr.; One Daughter: Donna Murray and husband, Dwight of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; One Sister: Lyla Dye of Kingsport, Tennessee; One Granddaughter: Natasha Dula and husband, Phillip of Richlands, Virginia; One Great Granddaughter: Sklya Sage Dula.
Funeral services for Nell Baldwin Bandy will be conducted Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Carl Howell, Bill Smith, and Woodrow Mullins officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Ray Vandyke, Mike Schulte, Max Stanley, Bill Dean Smith, Woodrow Mullins, Bruce Russell, Tom Murray, Clint Smith, and Roger Murray. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons and Elders of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Friends may call after 6:00pm Monday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
